We fully understand that many people are anxious about visiting the dentist. Since we don't want fear to hold you back from getting the dental care you need, we offer sedation dentistry to improve your experience. Sedation dentistry allows you to relax while we perform a dental treatment. At the same time, you will remain conscious and aware of your surroundings. Instead of avoiding dental procedures, ask us about sedation dentistry.
Dr. Kay is passionate about helping patients who have trouble sleeping. Each new patient in our practice receives a free screening form for sleep apnea to help determine if they may be at risk for this disease. We will work with you and your physician at getting the treatment you need if we think you may have a problem. If left untreated, sleep apnea can have damaging effects on your teeth and TMJ, among many other more serious health problems. That is why Dr. Kay has completed extended training to learn how to create professional sleep appliances for his patients. These are sometimes used to supplement or replace CPAP options. They are comfortable and effective at helping patients sleep much better at night. More importantly, they prevent patients from suffering from other damage to their teeth or TMJ, which can lead to loss of teeth or expensive dental treatment.
Special Needs Dentistry
Special needs patients require dental work too. They also deserve to find a dentist and staff who are compassionate. They need a dentist who is understanding and able to work with them to ensure that their mouths are healthy.
